GoFree Stats
A new stats site for GoFree, a Counter-Strike surf community founded in 2015. I took over managing it in 2017.
- My role
- Built the whole site, manage the community with help from others, and ran its YouTube channel
- Current status
- Live
The starting point
GoFree has 26 game servers across Europe and North America, more than 277,000 ranked players and a Discord with 1,800 members, and we’ve run tournaments with prize pools of about £1,800 and £1,100. Our old stats site had become outdated, so I built a better one.
What I made
A new site that reads straight from the live game-server data, with read-only access so it can’t change anyone’s results. It covers records across 990 maps, player rankings, side-by-side comparisons, Steam sign-in and a first-person replay viewer. It went live on 31 October 2026 and works on desktop and phone. I also ran GoFree’s YouTube channel, which has 461 videos, more than 730,000 views and over 1,400 subscribers.
